Catholics welcome new head of advice
The Australian Catholic Superannuation and Retirement Fund have appointed Tim Poole as its new head of financial advice. Poole was promoted from within the financial advice team in the restructure.
BTIM adds new chief risk officer, new head of trading and investment operations
BT Investment Management has appointed Mark Coles as chief risk officer. Coles moves across from State Bank of India as chief risk and compliance officer. The company has also appointed Mark de Courcey as head of trading and investment operations, with de Courcey making the move from Perpetual as the general manager of investment operations.
AIST appoints acting CEO
Eva Scheerlinck is acting chief executive of the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees after Tom Garcia departs to join the ranks of AustralianSuper. The search for a new CEO continues.
Actuaries Institute names new president
The Actuaries Institute is welcoming its new president, Jenny Lyon. Lyon joins senior vice president John Evans and vice president Nicolette Rubinsztein as the new leaders of the Institute.

Westpac's deputy CEO to retire in May
Phil Coffey is retiring after more than two decades at Westpac. Coffey has been deputy chief executive since 2014, and prior to that was chief financial officer for eight years. Coffey joined Westpac in 1996 as head of foreign exchange. Coffey will continue as chair of Westpac Bicentennial Foundation.
CBA Group Super losing its CIO
After 38 years, Gerard Parlevliet is retiring from the Commonwealth Bank, with his latest role being as Group Super's chief investment officer.
