Sunsuper executive restructure
Michael Mulholland is leaving the super fund, replaced by Steven Travis, who will take on dual responsibilities of financial advice and marketing, and executive general manager of member growth. Jason Sommer, currently executive general manager of people, projects and performance, will become chief financial officer. Danielle Mair, currently executive general manager of customer engagement will move into the role of executive general manager of enterprise change.
The leadership team now has 11 members, up from eight, with additions of Petrina Weston, David Woodall and Stevhan Davidson all promoted to executive roles. Weston is the new executive general manager of people and culture, Woodall is now executive general manager of corporate and regional growth, while Davidson is moving into the role of executive general manager of customer engagement.
Statewide Super welcomes new CEO
Tony D'Alessandro is the new chief executive at Statewide Super, replacing Richard Nunn. Nunn is moving to the head role at MetLife. D’Alessandro has been promoted from general manager of member engagement at Statewide Super for the past three years.
Qantas Super board shuffle
John Atkin and Lorraine Berends are the newest appointees on the Qantas Super board, as company-appointed directors designate. Anne Ward is outgoing chair of the board, after 15 years of service.
BTFG restructure to merge superannuation distribution teams
BT Financial Group is to merge its superannuation distribution teams, with Matt Englund to leave the group after a decade.
HESTA loses veteran executive, creates new role
Rob Fowler has announced his retirement, after working in executive roles at HESTA for 15 years. Fowler’s most recent role is the investment execution executive, having worked in several executive roles at the fund. As he departs, a new role has been created, head of investment execution.
Women in Super Scholarships - Applications Now Open
Women in Super announced its 2019 scholarship program in partnership with AGSM@UNSW Business School, in its fifth year. The opportunity offers members a scholarship to a leadership course of their choice at AGSM, with four being available. Applications are accepted until Wednesday April 10.
