Raiz replaces chair
Tony Fay is retiring in December as chair of the Raiz Invest board (formerly Acorns Australia). Fay has been on the board since 2015 and is being replaced by Kevin Moore. Moore left the InvestSMART board earlier in November 2020 as it would present a conflict of interest for his new position.
AustralianSuper promotes funds deputy head of equities, loses head of equities
Justin Pascoe has been promoted to funds deputy head of equities at AustralianSuper, after joining the industry super fund in 2019 as a senior portfolio manager. Head of equities, Innes McKeand has relocated to the London office, joining recent departure Damian Moloney, head of investments.
SSGA appoints global CIO
State Street Global Advisors has appointed Lori Heinel as its global chief investment officer, an internal promotion. Heinel has been in the deputy global chief investment officer role since 2016.
State Street, SSGA’s parent company, has appointed Richard Lacaille as a senior investment adviser for leadership and ESG solutions and services. Lacaille has been at the company for over 20 years and is on the executive corporate responsibility committee.
Cbus welcomes tech chief
Mirella Robinson has been appointed as chief information technology officer, moving to the industry super fund from Latitude Financial. Robinson replaces Rob Pickering who left in September.
T. Rowe Price appoints equities analysts
Nick Vidale and Davie de Ferranti join T. Rowe Price as analysts. Vidale moves across from Perpetual as an equity analyst, while de Ferranti is moving into a role as a portfolio analyst in the investment specialist group. De Ferranti moves from Pendal Investment Management.
Link appoints GM, portfolio manager
Ross McCormack is the new general manager for AustralianSuper at administrator Link Group. McCormack joins from QSuper as head of group strategy. Melissa Westerhoff is a new portfolio manager of retirement and superannuation solutions, moving across from NAB as associate director of superannuation relationships, asset servicing.

Lonsdale CEO resigns
Mark Stephen has resigned from Lonsdale as chief executive to pursue new challenges. A replacement has not been announced.
