Franklin Templeton shuffles senior distribution lineup
After acquiring Legg Mason, Franklin Templeton Australia has shuffled the distribution team, as follows:
Felicity Walsh, head of sales, is now leading the institutional and retail sales teams, after moving into the role from head of institutional and alternatives
Manny Damianakis is leaving from his role as head of retail
John Besley is the new head of product, from head of product and client operations at Legg Mason
Felicity Nicholson continues as head of marketing, switching from Legg Mason to Franklin Templeton
Amy Teh continue as head of investment and consultants
Louise Farmakis continues as head of client services
Serg Premier continues as managing director of ifsInvest
FSC welcomes new chair
David Bryant is the new chair of the Financial Services Council, replacing Geoff Lloyd, who stood down after resigning from MLC Wealth.
VFMC appoints head of portfolio management
Gary Gabriel has joined Victorian Funds Management Corp (VFMC) as head of portfolio management. Gabriel moves from NSW State Super as chief investment officer. State Super’s deputy CIO, Charles Wu, will take over the role while a replacement is found.
Platypus appoints ESG head
Kristen Le Mesurier has been appointed as head of ESG and engagement at Platypus Asset Management. Le Mesurier moves from AMP Capital Ethical Leaders funds as a portfolio manager.
PriceWaterhouseCooper welcomes wealth services MD
Luke McCann has been appointed to the role of managing director of wealth services for private clients. McCann moves from a role as head of private advisory at ANZ Private Bank.
Departures
Hostplus farewells real estate investment specialist
Kristopher Staltare is leaving Hostplus as its real estate investment specialist after being with the industry fund for five years. The fund has not filled the position and are reviewing the role.
Equity Trustees chair retires
Jeffrey Kennet has retired from the board of directors at Equity Trustees after over 12 years. Kennet is being replaced by Carol Schwartz, already a board member.
