HostPlus welcomes ESG head
VicSuper’s responsible investments manager, Kim Farrant, has jumped ship to join HostPlus as head of ESG. Farrant’s stint at VicSuper lasted two years. The position at VicSuper will not be filled due to the expected merger between First State Super and VicSuper planned for this year.
Frontier Advisors appoints AustralianSuper director
Frontier Advisors is welcoming a new director, John Dixon, to the board to represent part-owner, AustralianSuper. Dixon is replacing Lucio Di Bartolomeo as the appointed representative of AustralianSuper. Di Bartolomeo is moving to the Australia Post board.
AustralianSuper appoints new director
Glenn Thompson is replacing Paul Bastian on the AustralianSuper board. Thompson has been with the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union since 2003 and is a director on a number of other boards.
Perpetual hires COO
Amanda Gazal is the new chief operating officer at Perpetual, filling a newly-created role commencing in April. Gazal moves from DWS Group where she has been the COO for Asia-Pacific distribution and COO for Singapore.
Fidelity appoints Australian head of wholesale
Simon Glazier is Fidelity’s new head of Australian wholesale, moving across from Ellerston Capital as head of intermediated distribution and marketing.

Future Fund loses property head and CEO
Stewart Tillyard is leaving Future Fund after 11 years at the company, with his latest role as property head. The property team is being handed over to Wendy Norris as a replacement is found. David Neal is leaving Future Fund to join IFM Investors after Brett Himbury resigned in 2019. General counsel and chief risk officer, Cameron Price, is acting chief until a permanent replacement is found.
Qantas Super seeking director
Hendrik van Calcar left Qantas Super in December 2019, with a new board director being sought to represent Group E. Group E covers airline officers’ award level 5 - senior professional 2, executive/management framework for employees, business and information technology professionals and professional engineers.
