DNR Capital launches Australian equities strategy

Brisbane Australian equities boutique, DNR Capital, has launched the income-focused Australian Equities Fund. The strategy is an unlisted managed trust, which has been run as a separately managed portfolio for the past 13 years. Jamie Nicol and Scott Kelly run the strategy. The fund has a concentrated set of stocks designed to beat the S&P/ASX 200 Industrials Accumulation Index over rolling three-year periods.

Milford Diversified Income Fund now available in Australia

New Zealand asset manager Milford has made its Diversified Income Fund available in Australia. The fund is a fixed-interest income-generator holding equities with a neutral growth/income asset split of 40/60 per cent. The fund is based on the New Zealand fund, targeting the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) cash rate plus 3.5 per cent per annum. The fund will be available on several platforms.

Perennial launches wholesale-only fund

Perennial Value Management has released a closed-ended actively-managed portfolio of unlisted growth, pre-IPO, IPO and listed placement investments, the Perennial Private to Public Opportunities Fund No. 2. The fund is only available to wholesale investors with a minimum investment of $100,000. The fund will have up to 30 per cent in unlisted and growth investments, up to 40 per cent in pre-IPO investments, and up to 50 per cent in listed investments. It closes on 2 October 2020, with the goal to raise up to $125 million in new capital. Brendan Lyon is the portfolio manager.

Warakirri launches new global emerging markets fund, opens three funds to retail

Northscape Capital and Warakirri Asset Management have partnered up to launch a new global emerging markets fund. The Warakirri Global Emerging Markets Fund has a concentrated portfolio of 20-40 companies. Northcape is the exclusive retail distributor of the fund.
