Andrew Mantello is the new chief risk officer at AustralianSuper. Mantello has been with AustralianSuper for a decade.
AMP appoints investment chief
Robert Hattersley is the new investment chief at AMP Capital Investors Limited, starting in January 2022, a newly-created role in the real estate division. Hattersley moves into the role from Lendlease where he was group chief investment officer.
Zurich appoints head of group insurance, pricing
Zurich Life & Investments has made three senior leadership appointments in the group insurance team. Francis Burgess is the new head of pricing and group insurance at Zurich, moving into the role from TAL. Jennifer Faglioni is the new head of product, while John Mirotsos is head of partnerships, both internal appointments. Faglioni was running group claims, while Mirotsos was national sales manager of group insurance.
Intrust Super farewells CEO
Ahead of its merger with Hostplus, Intrust Super’s chief executive Brendan O’Farrell is stepping down. O’Farrell has run Intrust for 17 years.
Catholic Super appoints trustee board member
Matthew Cassin has been appointed to the Catholic Super trustee board, with 25 years of experience in the banking and finance sector.
Zenith appoints head of responsible investment
Dugald Higgins is the new head of responsible investments and real assets at Zenith Investment Partners, an internal promotion. Higgins has been with Zenith for 12 years, previously the head of real assets and listed strategies.
Mercer welcomes super services head
Claire Ross is the new head of superannuation services at Mercer Australia, replacing Jo Anne Bloch who left recently. Ross is a current senior partner at Mercer UK and chief operating officer for Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Pacific.
SSGA welcomes four new senior staff
State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) announced new appointments for its SPDR ETF business in Asia Pacific. Katheleen Gallagher is the new head of SPDR ETFs Australia, while also maintaining her role of ETF model portfolios Asia Pacific and EMEA. Marie Tsang is an SPDR fixced income strategist for Asia Pacific. Jean Gan is an SPDR fixed income sales specialist for Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. Robin Tsui has an expanded role of Asia Pacific gold strategist and gold sales specialist for Hong Kong.
HESTA wins Employer of Choice in The Australian Business Awards
Industry superannuation fund HESTA has won Employer of Choice in The Australian Business Awards 2021. HESTA strongly advocates for its members, speaks up on gender equality, and is pushing for universal access to high-quality childcare. HESTA is also an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality for the fifth year running.
