AMP Australia executive movements

  • Jason Sommer is the new director of transformation and investments at AMP Australia, moving into the role from Sunsuper.

  • Edwina Maloney is moving from AMP Capital to AMP Australia in a new role as director of wrap and self-managed superannuation fund platforms

  • Jill Hopkins has left, after being brought in late in 2020 to lead the advice transformation program

  • Sean O’Malley is the new head of AMP Bank, most recently the bank’s chief transformation officer

Rest welcomes head of global equities, head of culture

Sonia Bluzmanis is the new head of global equities at Rest superannuation, moving into the role from BT Investment Group as portfolio manager for global equities. Amy Murrell is the new head of people and culture at Rest, moving from AMP, taking over some of the responsibilities of outgoing group executive for people, finance and change, Trevor Evans, who is retiring. Evans’ role is being split into two, with recruitment currently underway for the fund’s first chief financial officer.

Lonsec appoints new CEO

Michael Wright is the new CEO at the Lonsec Group, moving into the role from Xplore Wealth. Wright commences the new job in July 2021.

BetaShares promotes co-founder to CFO

The co-founder of BetaShares, Jason Gellert, has been appointed chief financial officer of the company. The exchange-traded fund (ETF) manager was set up in 2008.

FTSE Russell welcomes sustainable investment head

Jo Saleeba is the new head of sustainable investments for FTSE Russell Australia and New Zealand. Saleeba was most recently working in corporate sustainability and responsible investments with Thrive Advisory Services.
