/Clime shareholders vote director out
Neil Schafer has been voted off the Clime Investment Management board after an extraordinary general meeting, after being a director at the organisation for over 10 years and chair since October. Schafer was named acting co-chief executive in December 2020. The announcement was made to the ASX, but no further details were provided.
Mercer loses COO
Andrew Godfrey has left Mercer as chief operating officer for operations and technology across the Asia Pacific region, and at the company for over 17 years. Chris Stevens is now in the role.
Netwealth appoints head of investment solutions
Naomi Finnigan is the new hed of investment solutions at Netwealth, moving into the role from Nikko Asset Management as head of private wealth.
Fidelity appoints director of sustainable investing
Fidelity International welcomes Daniela Jaramillo into the newly-created role of director of sustainable investing. Jaramillo moves into the role from HESTA.
State Street welcomes MD for portfolio solutions
Elliot Graham has been appointed as the managing director of the portfolio solutions team, moving into the role from Macquarie Group. Graham has been with State Street previously, with other roles in London and Australia from 1999-2006. The role commences in November.
Praemium appoints CEO
Anthony Wamsteker has been announced as the executive director and permanent chief executive at Praemium, after being the interim CEO. Wamsteker has been involved with Praemium after the company acquired Powerwrap when he was chair.
JP Morgan AM promotes CEO
Andrew Creber is the new CEO for JP Morgan Australia and New Zealand, after being with the company for over 22 years. Creber’s most recent role was in Singapore as deputy chief administrative officer for the APAC region. Creber replaces Rachel Farrell.
Challenger CEO departing
Richard Howes is retiring in 2022 after almost two decades with Challenger. Howe was appointed CEO and managing director in 2019, but started in 2003 as chief executive for Challenger Life. A replacement is being sought, though Howe will stay on until March 2022 for a smooth handover. Chris Plater is now deputy CEO for the interim period.
Goldman Sachs appoints head of private wealth
Chris Kavanagh and Aaron Shirley have been appointed as the two leaders of the new Goldman Sachs wealth offering. Kavanagh has been with the company for over 17 years.
Schroders loses co-head of APAC
Chris Durack is leaving Schroders as co-head of Asia Pacific as of October. Durack has been with Schroders since 2018. Susan Soh will become the new sole head of Asia Pacific.
