/Schroders releases Institutional Investor Study
Schroders has published its latest Institutional Investor Study with the views of 750 global investors relating to the investment landscape, private assets and sustainability. The participants are together responsible for over $26 trillion in assets. The data set is from February and March 2021, with just local results discussed here.
Key findings of the survey include:
Fifty-one per cent of investors in Australia think engagement on climate change, use of fossil fuels and other environmental issues are the most important stewardship topics
Over 60 per cent of Australian investors say greenwashing is the biggest challenge to sustainable investing
Thirty-four per cent of investors in Australia believe ‘successful’ engagement means real-world outcomes that demonstrate measurable improvements for a company’s stakeholders
