/Credit Suisse loses chair over covid breaches
Axel P. Lehmann is the new chair at Credit Suisse after his predecessor António Horta-Osório was reported to have failed to complete several quarantine periods in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Barclays welcomes two Duncans as MDs
Duncan Beattie and Duncan Connellan have both been named as managing directors of investment banking in Australia for Barclays. Beattie is overseeing the delivery of international capital markets financing for Australian and New Zealand clients, while Connellan is expanding coverage of financial sponsors, infrastructure funds and corporate clients in terms of leveraged finance, acquisition finance and structured financing solutions.
Beattie moves into the role from JP Morgan, while Connellan rejoins Barclays from Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc.
Citi appoints head of GSG for APAC
Stella Choe is the new head of Citi’s Global Subsidiaries Group (GSG) for the Asia Pacific region, replacing Munir Nanji, who is moving into a new role as head of the Central Europe Cluster and Citi country officer for the Czech Republic. Choe was most recently head of corporate banking for Australia and New Zealand, having worked at Citi since 2014. A replacement is being sought.
Chris Regenass has passed away
Chris Regenass, known in the finance industry as state manager at Synchron, has sadly passed away after heart surgery complications on January 13.
CFS welcomes board member
John Brogdon, a former politician, has joined the boards of Colonial First State Investments Limited (CFSIL) and Avanteos Investments Limited (AIL) as an independent non-executive director. Brogdon is moving into the role from a position as CEO of Landcom, in April 2022.
Pendal appoints chair
Deborah Page is joining the Pendal Group as chair of the board, taking over from James Evans, who has held the role since 2013. Page has been an independent non-executive director at Pendal since April 2014, and chair of the audit and risk committee since 2016.
Future Super welcomes COO
David Barton is the new chief operating officer at Future Super Fund, moving into the role from Club Plus Super. The COO position was newly-created in December 2021.
