Ciaran McBride has been appointed into the newly-created role of head of investment options at Cbus superannuation, an internal promotion from head of investment analytics.
CareSuper welcomes new chair
Linda Scott is the new chair at CareSuper, replacing Terry Wetherall. Scott was appointed by Unions NSW four years ago and has held the role of deputy chair. Scott is well qualified for the position, serving as the president of the Australian Local Government Association, a Councillor for the City of Sydney and a former deputy Lord Mayor. Scott sits on the National Reform Federal Council, the Commonwealth Government’s Regional Banking Taskforce, and the board of the NSW Environmental Trust.
Jeremy Johnson will take over as deputy chair, and Rebecca Girard is replacing Keith Harvey after his recent retirement.
Lazard CEO retires after 20 years
Ashish Bhutani is retiring from the CEO role at Lazard Asset Management after 20 years in the top job. The resignation is set for 1 June 2022 but Bhutani will continue as chair of asset management and vice chair of Lazard until the end of 2022. Evan Russo will take over the position. Russo has been with Lazard since 2007.
CFS CFO departs
Andrew Morgan is leaving Colonial First State Investments as the chief financial officer to join Bendigo and Adelaide Bank in the same role. Morgan replaces Travis Crouch who is moving into the role of deputy head of finance.
UBS appoints ESG specialist
Camille Wynter is the newest addition to the ESG team at UBS, as head of Australian ESG research. Wynter is an experience sustainable finance professional, moving into the role from Commonwealth Bank as director of sustainable finance.
Macquarie appoints global head of real estate
James Maydew is the new global head of real estate at Macquarie Investment Management after the sale of AMP Capital’s global equities and fixed income business to Macquarie Asset Management.
AMP Capital welcomes manager of real estate equity
Benjamin Woolley is the new manager of real estate equity at AMP Capital, moving into the role from Frontier.
BT welcomes head of product management
Kathryn Cosentino is the new head of product management in the BT platforms business in a newly-created role. During the recruitment period Daniela De Zotti has been acting in the role.
FSC appoints new CEO
Blake Briggs is the new chief at the Financial Services Council (FSC). Briggs has been acting CEO for the past three months and has been with the FSC for eight years as deputy CEO and senior policy manager for superannuation.
