European Monthly Insight May 2022 Highlights:
/The European asset management industry contracted by €285.0 billion, or -2.3% as of May 2022, to €12.2 trillion in assets, while recording €35.4 billion in net outflows.
Bond mandates continued with its fifth consecutive month of net outflows of €17.3 billion. Equity mandates recorded their fourth consecutive month of net outflows of €11.7 billion. Mixed asset also turned negative, experiencing net outflows of €0.3 billion during the month.
Considering product structures, Active funds net sales were -€35.7 billion, the fourth consecutive month of outflows, while passive fund net sales remained positive at €0.6 billion. ETF net creations were -€0.3 billion, down €13.7 billion from the previous month.
