Australian Retiremnt Trust (ART) has appointed Lin Xu as associate portfolio manager of investment strategy - exposure management. Xu moves into the role from Milliman.
BlackRock appoints alternatives expert
George Maltezos is the new head of BlackRock Alternative Specialists APAC, replacing James Mellors. Mellors is moving to the London office into a role as global real estate strategy lead. Maltezos joins the company from Campbell Lutyens in Singapore.
Aware Super appoints head of private equity, loses two investment managers
Jenny Newmarch is the new head of private equity at Aware Super, as part of a team restructure. She joins in the promotions of two other senior portfolio managers: Alek Misev and Mark Hector, who will head up private equity, property and infrastructure respectively.
Tim Riordan has left Aware Super as head of direct equities to start his own fund with Mike Teran, associate portfolio manager. The pair ran the superannuation fund’s midcap Australian equities fund for the last three years.
Bravura acting CFO resigns
Harmen Fredrikze is leaving Bravura after just three months in the role, but after nearly 10 years at the company. Changes to the organisational structure mean a permanent placement is being sought, with Fredrikze staying on until June.
