Fortnum welcomes new head of financial advice, practice technology manager
Kerry Thomas is the new head of financial advice at Fortnum Private Wealth. Thomas moves across from BT Financial Group. Cassandra Mackay is the new practice technology manager, moving from Bendigo and Adelaide Bank where she was the digital advice manager.
MLC Life Insurance adds four business engagement roles
MLC has added four staff in newly-created contract roles, being called business engagement managers. Those filling the roles are to help advisers with their customer engagement models to better assist new consumers for 12 months.

The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has opened nominations for some of its awards. The awards include:

- AFA Rising Star of the Year
- AFA Practice of the Year
- AFA Adviser of the Year (opens 15 May - 28 July)
