Praemium CEO to return
Praemium's terminated chief executive, Michael Ohanessian, has returned to his position after all resolutions were passed at the shareholder meeting in Melbourne. Interim chief executive Robert De Luca was replaced, with the board now occupied by Stuart Robertson, Daniel Lipshut and Barry Lewin (chair). Departing board members include Andre Carstens, Peter Mahler, Robert Edgley and Greg Camm.
Sunsuper appoints new investment manager
Scott McNally has been hired as an investment manager at Sunsuper, moving across from Mercer Investment Consulting.
CBA hires group executive, CFO
The Commonwealth Bank has promoted a new group executive to its international financial services leadership team, Coen Jonker. Jonker is now responsible for digital transformation, replacing Rob Jesudason, who is moving into the chief financial officer role from July.
Netwealth appoints CFO
Netwealth's new chief financial officer is Grant Boyle, succeeding Bruce MacDougall, who is resigning. Boyle moves across from EMR Capital in the same role.
APRA appointments
APRA has appointed four new executives and an analyst:
- Melisande Waterford - general manager of licensing (internal promotion)
- Sharyn Reichstein - general manager of advice and approvals (internal promotion)
- Gideon Holland - general manager of diversified institutions division (internal promotion)
- Jane O'Doherty - head of combined governance, operational and insurance risk specialist team (from European Central Bank)
- Katrina Ellis - data analytics head
ACSA appoints deputy chair, treasurer
The Australian Custodial Services Association (ACSA) has appointed a new deputy chair after Martin Carpenter (Citi managing director) left in February. Daniel Cheever, State Street's head of client management, is to take over Carpenter's role after being an ACSA director for three years. Andrew Gibson, Citi director of product management securities and fund services, is to join as a Citi representative. BNP Paribas' chief administrative officer, Daryl Crich, is the new treasurer, replacing RBC Investor and Treasury Services director of product for Asia-Pacific, Gordon Little.
