CBA advice exec moves to BOQ
The Commonwealth Bank's executive general manager Lyn McGrath is moving on to a role leading Bank of Queensland's retail banking division. McGrath starts the new role on 1 August 2018, and replaces Matt Baxby, who will become chief financial officer. BOQ's former CFO is moving into the newly-created role of chief operating officer. 

AMP replaces general legal counsel, risk chief of AMP Advice
Brian Salter left AMP as general legal counsel in April, with an internal hire replacing him, David Cullen. Cullen has been at AMP since 2004, most recently as group company secretary and general counsel, governance, while also being acting group general counsel as of April 30. 

AMP's financial advice business, AMP Advice, is saying farewell to its chief risk officer Pally Bargri, who stepped down saying he does not feel that he has what is required to steer the company through its challenges at this time. Bargri has been with AMP for over four years. The search has begun for a replacement.

AFA Award nominations open
Nominations are now open for the Association of Financial Advisers' (AFA) two annual awards, the Rising Star, and Female Excellence in Advice Awards. Nominations close 30 June, with applications closing on 6 July.

ANZ dealer group chief resigns
ANZ's dealer groups are losing their CEO after Matt Brown agreed to a financial advice managerial role at Australian Unity. Brown is CEO at Millennium3 and Financial Services partners, both owned by ANZ. Brown is replacing Paul Harding-Davis, who moved to Premium China Funds Management in February. 

NIBA VIC/TAS award winners
The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has announced the Victorian and Tasmanian regional winners of two awards. The Broker of the Year Award went to Penelope Collins of CMIB Insurance Services, and the Young Professional Broker of the Year Award, with Leigh Moulden of Doreen Insurance Solutions winning.
