Read Taylor Price is the new head of institutional distribution at MLC Asset Management. Price is the founder of the Australian arm of Fisher Investments.
Cbus welcomes new investments COO, loses tech head
Nancy Day is the new chief operating officer for investments at Cbus. Day moves into the role from head of investment operations at the fund for the last two years.
Chief technology officer, Rob Pickering, is leaving Cbus to take on a new role at the AFL as general manager of technology.
Vanguard appoints risk management executive
Curt Jacques is the new head of risk management at Vanguard. Jacques moves across from Macquarie Group.
Vision Super promotes CIO to deputy CEO
Chief investment officer at Vision Super, Michael Wyrsch, has been promoted to the newly-created position of deputy chief executive. Wyrsch has been with Vision super as CIO since 2014.
Goldman Sachs welcomes local chair
Christian Johnston is the new chair of Goldman Sachs in Australia and New Zealand. Johnston was previously head of the corporate advisory division of Goldman Sachs Australia and New Zealand, while also being a member of the Asia Pacific Management Committee and ANZ Operating Committee.

Susan Ryan passes away
Susan Ryan, a superannuation industry pioneer and former politician, has passed away suddenly. Ryan was a former Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia CEO, president of the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees, member of the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors and ASX Corporate Governance Council. Ryan will be remembered as a great politician and a fierce feminist.
BT head of platforms resigns after 15 years
Dina Kotsopoulos has resigned as head of platforms and will be leaving BT after 15 years. Kostopoulos was head of BT’s platforms business as of March 2019.
ASX loses board member
Peter Warne is leaving the ASX board after 14 years of service. Warne is retiring, though he still holds other board positions.
LGIAsuper director leaves board
Matthew Bourke, director on the LGIAsuper board, is leaving the fund. Bourke will be replaced by Greg Hallam.
Media Super replaces chair
Gerard Noonan is stepping down as chair of the board at Media Super but will remain on the board as a director. Susan Heany is the new chair.
AXA Investment Management loses country head
Craig Hurt, head of Australia, is leaving AXA IM after 16 years to seek new challenges.
