AMP Australia welcomes new CEO, loses MD, gains advice transformation expert

Scott Hartley is the new chief executive at AMP Australia, replacing Blair Vernon. Hartley’s last role was at Sunsuper. Lara Bourguignon, head of SuperConcepts and the managing director of superannuation, retirement and platforms for AMP Australia, is leaving the company, to work as a consultant. A replacement is being sought.

Jill Hopkins has been appointed as the advice transformation program director, a role she has played in several large organisations.

Zurich appoints group insurance lead

Darren Wickham is the new Zurich Life & Investments head of group insurance as of March 2021, moving from TAL in an executive general manager role in group life. Wickham replaces Gerard Kerr.

Integrity Life welcomes CEO

Sean McCormack is the new chief executive for Integrity Life, moving from MLC Life Insurance chief life insurance officer. McCormack replaces Lesley Mamelok, who has been acting in the role, and who will then return to her role of chief financial officer.

NAB appoints COO

National Australia Bank has appointed Les Matheson as its chief executive, with Matheson returning to Australia to take up the role. Matheson has been in the UK and Ireland as chief executive of personal and business banking at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Matheson will be overseeing UBank group marketing, corporate affairs and strategic initiatives.
