Spaceship appoints new trustee

Spaceship Super has appointed Diversa as trustee, taking over from Tidswell Financial Services under the Tidswell Master Superannuation Plan. The move supports efforts to improve efficiency and outcomes for members. Diversa is within the same group as Tidswell, previously all owned by Sargon, which entered administration earlier in 2020. Sargon was rebranded to Certes Corporation.

Catholic Super appoints new group insurer, considers merger

Australian Catholic Super and Retirement Fund (ACSRF) is moving from OnePath to AIA Australia as of January 1. OnePath has been working with the super fund for around 10 years. Costs will change for death and total and permanent disability cover to age-based premiums, with some members seeing an increase while others a decrease. Default death and TPD for those under age 25 will change, while income protection will align more with salaries.

ACSRF is looking into a merger with NGS Super, a fund currently insured by TAL.
