Funds SA welcomes asset allocation director

Brendan Hallett is the newly appointed director of asset allocation at Funds SA, joining from the NSW Treasury Corporation as a senior asset allocation and investment strategist.

JANA appoints head of tech and operations

Ann-Mary Rajanayagam is the new head of technology and operations at JANA. Rajanayagam moves into the role from JP Morgan and the New York Stock Exchange.

Australian Ethical appoints head of asset allocation

John Woods is the new head of asset allocation at Australian Ethical, moving into the role from MLC.

Frontier Advisors appoints head of alternatives and derivatives

Scott Pappas has been appointed to lead the alternatives and derivatives team at Frontier, moving into the role from Cbus, where he was a senior portfolio manager.

Emilio Gonzalez is stepping down after over 11 years as managing director and group CEO.

Leadership changes at QSuper and Sunsuper due to merger

Due to the agreement to a merger between QSuper and Sunsuper, leadership shuffles are to come.

Equity Trustees loses head of corporate trustee business

Harvey Kalman is leaving Equity Trustees as head of the corporate trustee business after over 20 years to move into an international role with the company as head of business development, fund services and managing director for the United Kingdom and Europe. Russell Beasley will replace Kalman as executive general manager of corporate trustee services, as of July 2.

Mine Super CEO stepping down

Harry Mitchell is leaving to join Recreo, owned by Mine Super, after almost five years as CEO. Vasyl Nair will replace Mitchell for a year while a replacement is found. Recreo is Mine Super’s superannuation and investment administration platform, with Mine Super having a majority stake in Recreo since 2015. Recreo CEO Andrew Bain will retain his position.

Lonsec CEO departing

Charlie Haynes is leaving Lonsec after three years. A search for his replacement is underway.

Energy Super CEO leaving ahead of merger

Robyn Petrou is leaving Energy Super in July ahead of the merger with LGIAsuper. The current CEO of LGIAsuper, Kate Farrar, will lead the joint fund.

Class CFO moving on

Glenn Day is leaving the CFO role at Class superannuation after more than 12 years. A search is underway for a new chief financial officer and company secretary.

HUB24 director and co-founder departs

Ian Litster has resigned from the board of HUB24, the longest-serving member of the board and co-founder of the platform. A replacement is being sought.
