/APRA executive appointments
The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) has made executive changes.
Sean Carmody, currently executive director of cross-industry insights and data replaces Brandon Khoo as executive director of insurance, with Khoo now executive director of cross-industry insights and data
Warren Scott, APRA general counsel, is retiring after 13 years with the regulator, with the current general manager of legal and deputy general counsel Lucinda McCann becoming APRA general counsel
Sharon Burns is the new chief financial officer.
Janus Henderson welcomes CEO
Ali Dibadj is the new Janus Henderson chief executive, replacing DIck Weil. Weil is retiring. Roger Thompson, chief financial officer, will take over as chief executive in the interim between the two. Dibadj is currently the chief financial officer and head of strategy at AllianceBernstein.
AFSA welcome CEO
Timothy Beresford has been announced as the CEO of the Australian Financial Security Authority (AFSA).
AustralianSuper appoints first COO, senior investment director
Peter Curtis has been appointed to chief operating officer, from group executive for finance operations. Jennie Rose is a new senior investment director of infrastructure debt in the New York office.
Women in Super appoint CEO
Jo Kowalczyk is the new CEO at Women in Super, moving from the NSW Teachers Federation. Kowalczyk is well qualified for the job with a long history in leadership roles, replacing Sandra Buckley.
