OnePath seeking to transfer life insurance business to Zurich

Zurich and OnePath have confirmed their intention to transfer OnePath’s risk insurance business to Zurich via the submission of a joint application to the Federal Court. If the proposal is accepted, OnePath’s life policies will be then administered by Zurich, though OnePath will still retain assets to meet regulatory capital requirements. A hearing is scheduled for 6 July 2022 with the transfer planned for 1 August 2022. OnePath Life joined the Zurich group after its acquisition of ANZ’s life insurance business.
