AFA awards

The Female Excellence in Advice Award at the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) award ceremony went to Amie Baker of Rekab Advice. Baker was chosen for her strong female advocacy in financial advice and her work improving financial literacy with two podcasts for female advisers, Centsability and Equity Gals.

Adviser of the Year went to Felicity Cooper from Cooper Wealth Management for her role as ‘ambassador for the profession’, also a previous winner of the AFA’s Excellence in Education Award.

Sequoia welcomes head of financial planning

Phillip Osborne is the new head of Libertas financial planning at Sequoia Wealth Management. Libertas Financial Planning is Sequoia Financial Group’s licensee. Osborne will also chair the Investment Committees of the group’s Australian financial services licensees.
