/Prime Super welcomes new directors
Gemma Dooley, former Club Plus Super chief investment officer, and Bev Durston, Edgehaven managing director, have been appointed non-executive directors at Prime Super.
BlackRock appoints HK-based APAC wealth head
James Raby is the new APAC head of wealth at BlackRock, based in Hong Kong. Raby has been working with BlackRock for over 15 years in various roles and locations around the world, most recently as chief financial officer for APAC.
Spaceship drops four staff, restructures leadership team
Superannuation and investment startup Spaceship has announced it is losing four team members as part of a downsizing. The employees are in the product, marketing and engineering teams.
A leadership team reorganisation is also in the pipeline, the company said. Chief financial officer Katrina Sly will assume a broader role, incorporating the chief operating officer position, with Tom Kildea appointed chief risk officer after several years in the risk, compliance and operations role. Jason Sedawie, a senior portfolio manager, is moving into the newly-created role of vice president of investments.
Bennelong appoints global CEO
John Burke is the new global head of Bennelong Funds Management, taking over from Craig Bingham, who is leaving the role after eight years. Burke moves into the role from Fidante Partners where he was the global head.
UniSuper appoints investment professionals
The private markets team has had a boost with the appointments of Sukhi Lekhi and Lachlan McLeish as new senior investment analyst and investment analyst respectively. Lekhi moves into the role from Deloitte as associate director in the merger and acquisitions valuations practice, while McLeish joins from PwC as a senior consultant in corporate valuation.
